I’ll admit that I’ve fallen behind in the 30 paintings in 30 days challenge. I’ve had paintings to mat and frame and then deliver to exhibitions, so all is good. Just difficult to do it all and I found myself very tired. Besides painting every day with a deadline over my head, I am also challenging myself to go larger. Of course larger means I paint fewer paintings but I do want to round out my inventory with more larger pieces. As my paintings sell, I am also planning to paint another of the same subject matter. No wonder I’m pooped.
I was drawn to this photo by the character the image portrays. While toucans are humorous to me, this one has additional attitude. Just love it!
The photo reference for this Toucan is from Tambako the Jaguar. He generously has given permission for me to use his photo(s) and his work can be seen on Flickr.
