Day 2, September 2016 30 in 30 Challenge
One of the benefits of this challenge is realizing that there is a lot of organization involved if one wants to benefit fully from the process. While none of this is mandatory since the main goal is to have fun painting, those of us who want to can reap rewards on other levels.
The first step in planning, is knowing what you are going to paint. For me, deciding what to paint can be the most painful aspect of my painting. Having a theme helps, as it will trigger ideas quickly. My overriding theme for this round is Florida wildlife and flora.
Todays painting does not fall into the theme I just specified, but I wanted to paint these three chickens again. My first painting was small, and so cute, and it never made it into the public marketplace. My collector of birds and ducks, scooped it up immediately.
The challenge helps get paintings done, and so the chickens got on the easel.
