This painting is one of three I painted for a fundraising event and sale, Art & Soul. The requirement was that it be square. While I have painted a 6×6″ series of sea turtles, this may be the start of a series of larger ones.
I have been prompted to paint larger paintings more than once but I like to think there is a method to my madness of painting smaller. Because I sell at outdoor shows, and have just gotten my feet wet and by no means an expert at selling, I like to give potential customers variety. And many say they have no wall space.
All that being said, larger paintings need to be an option as well. Again, because of outdoor shows, all my inventory needs to be framed. And with that comes storage issues, transport issues, etc. As a result, I am cognizant of all this when I set out to paint.
But change happens!
Hi Claudia,
We met at an art show along the Intracoastal off of Atlantic Ave about a month ago. I seem to have lost your card. I am interested in Sea Turtle #14, which you had on display the day we met. I flew up north and measured the space. I need the image to be roughly 23″ x 23″ finished dimension. I would like to phone you to discuss. Thank you!
