Day 4 September 2016 30 in 30 Challenge
Already Day 4! This challenge pushes one to keep going if finishing a painting a day is ones goal. It is for me, at least for the time being. With many indoor and outdoor shows coming up this fall and winter, boosting my inventory is definitely a priority.
With the pressure of time, I get to see how much time I spend trying to settle on what my next painting will be. Part of the planning for this event was to pick our subject matter, and even sketch ahead of time. I actually did that, and because I am going away for 2 weeks, i pre-planned 6+ small paintings, so I can stay ahead during that time. HOWEVER, as soon as one puts constraints on oneself, it seems it is human nature to want to do something else!
Today, I ‘stole’ one of my preplanned pieces and painted it. This sea turtle is that painting. I have planned a lot of sea turtles for this challenge, as I want to have 9 of them, to be displayed together as a series…especially for my outdoor shows.
