Day 6 September 2016 30 in 30 Challenge
At my first outdoor show, with many of my colorful bird watercolors on display, a visitor told me about a beautiful purple bird and that I should paint it. Never having heard of it, I didn’t fully understand what he called it. However, I investigated and found purple GALLINULE. That was it and I knew it by its beauty. Since that time, I have had that bird on my ‘to-paint’ wish list.
This challenge has pushed it onto my easel. When I choose to paint something, I don’t always know why I should paint it. I want to paint sale-able subject matter as that is my ultimate goal, to sell a piece to a happy customer and collector. But I don’t really know what will sell, and so very often it is the desire to see watercolor mingle together.
