I had a marvelous President’s weekend, spent at ArtiGras Fine Arts Festival in Jupiter, FL. I was accepted into the juried show as an Emerging Artist, which came with it’s own perks, and gave me invaluable education and experience exhibiting in a show of this caliber…one of the top rated shows in the country! Produced by Northern Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce, it was extremely well organized that I will be spoiled for the rest of my exhibiting life!
The painting on this page was one of 4 paintings a new art collector (to me) purchased. In the middle of on-again off-again rain, she came into my booth, had me try a few groupings of paintings, and settled on this one, Harvest Bouquet, Heron, Sunflower Bouquet and Golden-breasted Starlings. As my husband and she set out to her car, who knows where, the heavens opened with a downpour.
To another art collector, I sold a favorite Green Sea Turtle which I have yet to post. So much was happening leading up to the show, that a lot of catching up to do is in order.
Prints were a great seller as well. Renaissance Angel sold as a print on metal. This is the second one of these I’ve sold in 2 weeks, as well as being commissioned another original of it. A couple of framed prints were sold and many matted prints.
Definitely a successful show.
