I have been busy since October 2015 exhibiting in outdoor and indoor shows, as well as participating in exhibitions with one or two pieces of my work. It has really been an experience, and a shame that much of it had been washed out by rainy or windy weather. However, there was much to learn from doing the shows. Getting out and meeting the public is fabulous. Being right there to see their reaction to ones work is invaluable and this is something that, except during opening receptions, is lost in gallery exhibitions.
Last week I participated in an indoor exhibition and sale at Lauderdale Yacht Club. Now that is the best of both worlds! I was so please with the reception of my work inspiring me to investigate new markets based on the popularity of certain paintings.
Next up, is ArteGras Arts Festival in Jupiter, FL this coming President’s weekend. I’ll do another post to talk about this first huge show experience.
