This cormorant literally sat on a rail at the Wackodahatchee Wetlands and posed. Got a few good photos. This is the first.
I have several series going on. One is size. 6″ x 6″ on watercolor paper which will be mounted on blocks instead of matted and framed. Nice tile-looking pieces that can be hung in small spaces and/or in a series of 3 or more in whatever pattern suits the space. I have been providing small prints on metal or acrylic of my larger paintings that display the same way. I very excited about using small prints or originals. The most common thing I hear in my outdoor shows, is that people do not have any wall space.
The other series I am working on, which overlaps with the 6 x 6 series in some instances, is of subjects in black with tinting black with warm or cool colors for subtle variation. My black cow and black horse are of this series. In the past, my woodpeckers have been popular, both the red-bellied woodpecker and downy woodpecker.
