Day 8 September 2016 30 in 30 Challenge
I am in Asheville, NC with my sisters. Another challenge to doing a painting each day is that life gets in the way. Schedules change, commitments change, and working a painting in can be tricky.
Luckily, I got up early today and was able to do my painting of this baby sea turtle before I even had coffee.
Sea turtle hatchlings are close to my heart. I spend a summer night or two on the beach each week protecting them as they emerge from their nests. They are roughly the size of a silver dollar. Some species are round, others more oblong. They usually emerge en masse, 80-120 of them.
This painting will join the 6×6″ series.
